One Makeup Trend You Need to Try – Yoga Skin

by Jo Boyden on Apr 02 2019
“Yoga Skin” is the new way to create a cocktail face base to give you that “I just exercised and feel amazing” glow.Makeup trends come and go, from perfect brows to ombre lips, from K Beauty to J Beauty. You’d be forgiven if you haven’t embraced them all! But if you are going to take the plunge and try just one, then make it “Yoga Skin”.Created by well-known Insta-Queen and makeup artist Sara Hill, we are just a bit in love with this easy technique and how luminous it leaves your skin. You might be asking what makes Yoga Skin different from other make trends like glass skin, Sara explains:"Yoga skin is a look that feels real. ‘Glass skin’ and similar trends are about creating a perfected, flawless complexion, but yoga skin is about creating luscious, fresh and juicy skin that looks natural, but glowing with health.""I called it ‘yoga skin’ because it emulates that really gorgeous radiance you have when you step out of the yoga studio; juicy, dewy and super-hydrated. It’s not about hiding imperfections but creating a hyper-real version of your natural skin, pinchable and just irresistible!""To get the look, start by applying your regular skincare as normal, and leave it for at least five minutes to settle into your skin", says Sarah."Apply a layer of primer, and then it’s time to get to mixing! What I love about this look is that it’s completely customisable to your needs, preferences and skin type."To create the perfect ELES Yoga Skin Cocktail we combined 80% ELES HD Luminous Foundation, 10% ELES Overnight Repair Facial Oil and 10% ELES Liquid Illuminator in Bronze and mixed it together. We then applied it on the face massaging right into the skin as Sara recommends to get the circulation pumping and give the skin a healthy flush. We finished by pressing it in further with a damp Pro-Blender Sponge. No setting powder required. The end result? Healthy, juicy, delicious skin! It really works!

Post Summer Skin Detox

by Jo Boyden on Mar 26 2019
Whether you are mourning the end of bright, balmy days or doing side-kicks now that cooler weather is on the way, we all need to give our skin love much-needed love after a season of summer indulgences. Think salty or chlorinated water, a little too much “Yes way, Rose” or even a beautiful bronze glow that’s starting to look more like a pigment patchwork quilt. Time for repair! So what are we dealing with now that autumn has arrived? More often than not, clogged pores, dehydration, hyper-pigmented patches, and of course chapped lips. Luckily, all it takes to reboot skin is a few tweaks to our current skincare routine.ExfoliateThose dry dead skin cells that sit on the surface of your skin are not only dulling it, they are blocking the hydrating ingredients from getting in. We shed approx. 30,000 skin cells a day naturally but this slows down dramatically with age. It can also slow down in summer as oil, sweat, and makeup join together and act like mortar for the skin cells, binding them tightly together and creating an impenetrable wall. There are so many ways to exfoliate but the gentlest method is with fruit acids and enzymes, instead of forcing the cells off and causing possible damage to the skin these ingredients gently loosen and digest cells to leave skin softer, smoother and more refined. Try Phytomer - Vegetal Exfoliant with Natural Enzymes.Deep Pore CleansingNo matter how well you cleansed your skin in the last couple of months, deep down, where none of us can see, makeup, impurities, old sweat, and toxins are having a party in your pores. The result? Skin texture that looks coarse and spongy and never feels clean. To help clean them out detox your skin with a clay-based mask, or several if you are not afraid to be a multi-masker! Our go-to for deep cleansing is Phytomer Oligopur Flawless Skin Mask with Kaolin Clay.RehydrateSeriously pack it on! Summer leaves your skin depleted of moisture and not only is this uncomfortable it’s also ageing. So up your moisturiser game by adding some concentrates beneath and get out the hydrating masks. Don’t forget your body too! After your shower, smother your damp skin from neck to toes with rich balms and body oils. Did you know the skin’s outer layer swells open when it’s damp allowing products to penetrate better? We love Phytomer - Hydra Original Thirst-Relief Melting Cream and Hydrasea Thirst-Relief Rehydrating Mask for the face and the heavenly texture and aroma of Phytomer - Trésor Des Mers Beautifying Oil for the body.Check the damage!Unfortunately, you can’t undo the damage that UV rays cause, which is why a Broad Spectrum sunscreen is your most important skin care product. And, it’s important to keep your eyes open for any changes to your skin. A visit to a dermatologist for a skin cancer check should be a priority for every Australian and while it may seem a nuisance could be lifesaving. You can however help minimize the visible appearance of sun damage on the skin’s surface with little effort. To help fade the look of dark spots and even skin tone, use a hyperpigmentation formula such as Vie Collection - Laser Light Concentrate.Keep up protectionEven though it’s not summer anymore it doesn’t mean you should stop using your SPF. Reach for it every day and ensure your skin care is always loading with anti-oxidants. The combination of both will decrease skin ageing by a whopping 90%. Our go-to is Vie Collection - Vita C Concentrated Solution. You can put a few drops in your regular moisturiser or apply it beneath for a brighter complexion. It also has the added benefit of fading hyperpigmentation and stopping ageing free radicals in their tracks.Eyes and LipsOur lips lack melanin so they are especially susceptible to sun damage and after several months of hot weather are also prone to deep dryness. Squinting, sweating and the sun can also cause damage to the fragile eye area. So give these areas some TLC. Reach for nourishing lip colour instead of drying mattes, apply SPF over your lips and at night offer some much needed repair. Phytomer - Youth Contour Reviving Wrinkle Correction Cream - Eye and Lip is our favourite because it is formulated to calm, soothe and replenish delicate skin.

BEAUTY Q&A: What Is The Best Way To Make My Lips Look Fuller Naturally?

by Jo Boyden on Feb 04 2019
The experts here at ELES have been busy beavering away reading all those burning beauty questions you have and in turn have put together a weekly Q&A. Here’s hoping we can help everyone just a little achieve their perfect skincare and makeup daily! One of the most popular topics of 2018 and 2019 alike is LIPS, and how to make them look fuller naturally, so it’s no surprise that we were asked this very question numerous times too!Natural, pouty lips after all is something I’m sure we would all love to have but sadly some of us haven’t been genetically blessed, and if you are anything like me the idea of filler in the lips is a NO GO zone. I’m not sold, on the basis that I rarely find it looks natural? But all is not lost! With the right choice of products and crafty application you CAN achieve pouty, pillowy lips naturally and here is how; PREP First step is to prep lips. As you would exfoliate the rest of your face, the lips are no different, lips need to be free of dry, flaky skin. Be sure to use a gentle exfoliator and gentle rub off any excess with a face cloth. HYDRATION Yes we want to keep our lips moisturised, nourished, but we can’t emphasis the importance of hydrating the area around the lips too. Apply a really good lip cream like Phytomer Youth Contour Reviving Wrinkle Correction Cream – Eye and Lips, after all more often than not it is the lines around the lips which can actually be what’s making your lips look thin and aged.Top with a good lip conditioner. CONCEAL Take a cream or liquid concealer in a shade lighter than your natural lip colour and smooth all over the lips spreading it a little over your natural lip line. You want to blur the edges so that it’s harder to tell where your lip line is. Try ELES Dual Action Concealer. Next lightly blot your lips to remove excess product. LIP COLOUR Select a lip colour that will compliment your complexion but best to avoid dark shades which tend to make lips appear smaller. Better to go with a subtle shade that can be mistaken as our natural lip colour, only a shade or so darker. This will create the illusion of fuller lips. LIP LINER Once you have chosen your perfect lip colour, match with a Longwear Lipliner in the same or very close to shade. The lip liner will give your lips structure and act as a primer to help bind the lipstick to the lips. Carefully line your lips just outside your natural lip line. Fill the rest of the lips in with the liner, then apply your chosen lip colour. Try ELES Matte Lipstick. Apply with a good lip brush like ELES Lipliner brush for precision application. GO FOR GLOSS Next apply a lip gloss to your lips to accentuate them. A clear or natural colour lip gloss such as ELES Pucker up Lipgloss is the best makeup product for making lips look fuller. Applying the gloss just to the middle of the lips will make lips appear plumper. HIGHLIGHT Finally apply a highlighter on your cupids bow. Try ELES Liquid Illuminator. Follow all of these steps and achieve fuller lips instantly!

Do you suffer from facial redness? Lifestyle tips for sensitive skin

by Jo Boyden on Apr 18 2018
Does your skin react to everything and anything? Are you prone to breakouts? Do you find you get easily flushed especially in hot or cold temperatures? Do you have broken capillaries or suffer from sensitive skin irritation and inflammation? If you’ve answered yes to any or all of the above, we feel you, and so do millions of others!Unfortunately any number of things can contribute to skin sensitivity some of which are out of our control – genetics, the environment, the weather, our hormones, the water – but by following these 10 simple lifestyle tips we promise they can make a huge difference to not only your complexion but your confidence too! Say no to hot water Try not to wash your face with hot water. This will not only cause your skin to feel flushed and in turn aggravated. The hot water also strips your skin of the healthy oils which we desperately need.Luke warm water will be your friend. Get your sensitive skin care routine down pat I know you’re on the search for that perfect product, the one that is right for your sensitive skin but don’t continually trial product after product back to back. This will aggravate your skin and mess with its natural pH balance. Try to stick to one skincare regime using the same range. Keep things simple.Try; Pevonia’s RS2 range, specifically created to alleviate rosacea symptoms, or as a preventative for those with sensitive skin, the range – cleanser, toner, serum and moisturiser - effectively relieve discomfort by strengthening capillaries, soothing, hydrating and rendering skin evenly toned and visibly calmed. Go natural Using natural skincare will not only improve the health of your skin but also contribute to a safer environment. Try to opt for natural skincare products containing soothing, calming and nurturing ingredients such as chamomile, calendula, aloe, lavender and propolis. These will help overcome skin sensitivities.Try;Pevonia Soothing Propolis ConcentratePevonia RS2 Care CreamPevonia Soothing Sensitive Skin Cleanser Moisturise, moisturise, moisturise Ensure you moisturise every single day, morning and night. Moisturising helps to lock in water and prevents sensitive skin from drying gut.Try; Pevonia Soothing Sensitive Skin Cream Don’t over expose yourself to the sun This can damage your already sensitive skin by making it more prone to flare ups. Also keep reactions at bay by opting for a fragrance-free, natural sunscreen. Best to wear a hat too! Red wine can be the enemy (eek) If you’re like me you’ll love a glass of wine in the evenings, but try to steer clear of red. Why red you say? Red wine promotes the opening of blood vessels in the skin and is a histamine releaser which causes redness and flushing, it also deprives the skin of vital vitamins. Hydration is key Drink plenty of water. Water not only rehydrates you but also flushes away toxins and replenishes skin tissue. Drinking enough water can fight off skin conditions like psoriasis, eczema and rosacea all common skin sensitivities. We are what we eat Eat lots of green leafy vegetables and foods rich in vitamins and essential fatty acids. Foods rich with Vitamin C and E are beneficial for the skin as they not only serve as excellent antioxidants they also promote a healthy immune system. Think broccoli, kale, spinach, avocados, fish, nuts, seeds, blueberries, strawberries…the list goes on. Always remove makeup before going to bed Sleeping with a face full of makeup can and will result in skin irritability and breakouts. Makeup not only traps dead skin cells it also blocks our pores and when pores are blocked the skin can’t breathe and therefore regenerate! Sleep more, stress less Of course this is easier said than done! Especially if you have children, work long hours or generally have a lot going on in your life. But…if it’s possible to put your head down even half an hour earlier at night it’ll make all the difference and allow your skin to repair and regenerate and your brain to recharge!

Probiotics in skincare – what are they and why are they trending?

by Jo Boyden on Mar 19 2018
I’m sure we’ve all heard about the benefits of ingesting probiotics, whether it be by taking a supplement or eating certain foods. Now a new trend is taking centre stage – probiotics for the skin! Serums, Moisturisers, Masks…packed full of friendly bacteria to help restore the natural balance of our skin while refining, protecting and rejuvenating the complexion all at the same time! Now let’s get down to the nitty gritty for those of you who like to be further informed. What exactly are probiotics? And how is it that they actually work? What exactly are probiotics?Probiotics are good bacteria that normally reside in our bodies and in our skin. Due to sickness, toxicity, the use of antibiotics, and other external factors, our good bacteria diminishes and the bad bacteria becomes more prominent in our system. How do they actually work on our skin? For the skin, they work in a similar way as they do for the digestive system. Topical probiotics help deliver a dose of good bacteria directly to our skin, restoring radiance and balance. Some are recommended for mature skin because of their ability to regenerate as well as protect the skin by retaining moisture, healing wounds, and increasing collagen and elastin production for anti-aging effects. They are also an effective anti-inflammatory which means they bring calm to the skin soothing redness and irritation.Would I benefit from using skincare featuring probiotics?Yes! With its multitude of benefits, skincare rich in probiotics are great for anyone wanting to restore balance and radiance to the skin! They have the ability to boost the skin’s natural defence, rebuilding and strengthening it. Thanks to their calming, nurturing and anti-inflammatory qualities, they are also really beneficial for those with skin conditions such as Acne, Rosacea and Psoriasis.Interesting right? Sound like something you need right now? If so, Pevonia have just launched a new skincare range – Micro Pores Bio-Active Collection. It is formulated with a new breakthrough probiotic called Pseudoalteromonas (you don’t need to know how to pronounce it, just know that it’s darn good stuff for your skin!). By incorporating probiotics in this collection, Pevonia offers a natural, powerfully effective solution to counteract the most searched concerns: pore-refinement, uneven texture, oil control, aging and dehydration!

Is stress making us look older?

by Jo Boyden on Aug 16 2017
Without a doubt, and you probably don’t need a blog post to tell you this, stress is written all over our faces! You can see it in your skin tone, texture, elasticity and the absence of a youthful glow.It would be easy to say, “stress less” but we know that’s easier said than done! However, if we understand why stress affects our skin as well as change a few habits, we will be able to manage the stress and in turn look a whole lot younger!Dark CirclesWhen we are stressed our blood flow increases and the fragile capillaries beneath our eyes become engorged so dark circles become more obvious. Drinking more water can help, getting more sleep will certainly improve things, while gently massaging a good eye cream or gel to the delicate eye zone will to help increase blood flow. Apply a soothing eye gel around the eyes and slide your middle and ring finger around the orbital bone (slide outwards on the brow and inwards beneath the eye). We recommend Pevonia C Evolutive Eye Gel, the ginkgo biloba, this helps increase the circulation while soothing and hydrating the eye contour.Mini-menopauseWhen we are stressed our body creates cortisol, which can lead to a drop in Oestrogen, much like it does when we are in menopause. Less Oestrogen means less collagen and less moisture. Nourish your skin from within with hydrating food such as fish, nuts, avocado, sweet potato, olive oil and cucumbers to name a few. And “up the hydration” with products rich in collagen and hyaluronic acid. We recommend Pevonia Power Repair Line for bringing back the bounce and youthfulness of dehydrated skin.WrinklesAs our hydration levels decrease our collagen and elastin production decreases. The skin cells that form these vital proteins take a siesta and meanwhile our expressions seem to become indelibly etched into our faces. Maintaining hydration is key but to restore the damage already caused it might be time to get out the big guns and reboot the skin cells which have become lazy. We recommend Pevonia Micro-Retinol line to help rejuvenate the skin from within.Itching, flaking and hivesStress leads to inflammation which may lead to rashes, rosacea, eczema flare ups and changes in skin moisture. It’s vital to maintain your skin’s barrier function with filmogenic products that trap moisture and to reduce inflammation in the skin. Take cooler showers and baths, avoid synthetics in warm weather and apply soothing products such as Pevonia Propolis Concentrate and Reactive Cream which provide both anti-inflammatory properties as well as restoring your protective acid mantle.A Heavy JawGrinding teeth and clenching of the jaw are common symptoms of stress. Unfortunately, these habits can cause the jaw muscles to work overtime. This can result not only in damaged teeth, but also a heavier than usual jawline, as the muscles become larger with the grinding action. Be mindful of this habit by relaxing the jaw whenever you think of it, and massage the jawline every evening while cleansing your skin and applying your moisturiser. Take time out to completely relax with a warm bath, a short nap or just doing something that distracts you from over-thinking! Even though you might only be able to spare 10 minutes your body trains itself to be more relaxed over time and will thank you.Hair LossStress can cause sudden hair loss by literally flipping the switch on the hair follicle’s growth stage from an active to a resting phase. Once the follicle enters this resting phase prematurely, it stays there for about three months, after which time a large amount of hair will be shed. Avoid over-styling hair and using too many heat appliances. We recommend a weekly hair mask using the Micro-Emulsion Massage Oil Anti-Stress. This not only helps stimulate a healthy scalp, but leaves hair soft and conditioned too.Adult AcneAcne isn’t just for hormonal-crazed teenagers. Many adults can’t seem to outgrow it because of stress hormones. Cleanse your skin thoroughly every morning and evening and exfoliate every couple of days to keep skin clear and pure, we recommend Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser for mild breakouts or the Clarifyl Line for more serious adult acne. It purifies, calms inflammation and deals with pesky breakouts pronto.Clearly there is a connection between how we look and how we feel and think. The good news is that we can get to the root cause of our stress and manage it!

Hyaluronic Acid with that?

by Jo Boyden on Aug 02 2017
You may have heard of the ingredient Hyaluronic Acid. Beauty editors, bloggers and skin care aficionados are currently having a serious love affair with it. It’s not a new ingredient, in fact, it has been a staple in skin care and makeup for the last couple of decades. However technical innovation has changed it for the better.Once described as “ineffective” by the medical profession as an ingredient that does little for anti-ageing due to its large molecule, recent advances in cosmetic manufacturing have resulted in lower molecular structure which can penetrate the skin and help stimulate your own collagen production. With all that said, the more hyaluronic acid you put into your skin, the more youthful you'll look—and now there are a number of ways to load up from lotions to serums to creams.Hyaluronic acid is a bit of a misnomer. First, it's not actually an acid. It's a sugar. Also, it's a sponge. Every molecule can hold 1,000 times its weight in water. But one thing about hyaluronic acid that’s absolutely true: It's a skin-care wonder. PEVONIA POWER REPAIR LINEAny Pevonia fan will tell you this is the “go to” line for rehydrating the skin and smoothing away dehydration lines.Abundant in Hyaluronic and Collagen, the serums and creams are like a moisture magnet, plumping and firming the skin.POWER REPAIR COLLAGEN CREAMWith hyaluronic, vitamins and marine extracts to plump the skin with moisture.Ingredients:Water (Aqua), Squalane, Collagen, Glycerin, Hyaluronic Acid, Corylus Avellana (Hazel Nut) Oil, Titanium Dioxide, Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil, Glyceryl Stearate, Cetearyl Glucoside, Tocopherol, Arnica Montana Flowerhead Extract, Tocopheryl Acetate, Dimethicone, Carbomer, Sodium Citrate, Phenoxyethanol, Capryl Glycol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Hexylene Glycol, Narcissus Jonquilla (Jonquil) Flower Extract.REVIEWS“A skin care professional introduced me to the Pevonia line several years ago. My skin feels awesome and looks awesome.”By Noni“I have tried so many products on the market and this cream is the first one that I really saw a difference with. After a week, I actually had friends ask me what I was using. There is a serum that goes with it that I want to try.”By SusanPOWER REPAIR MARINE ELASTIN CREAMIt enhances skin's elasticity with the aid of elastin while infusing it with soothing hydration. The non-greasy texture sinks into the skin without feeling heavy.Ingredients: Water (Aqua), Squalane, Elastin, Glycerin, Hyaluronic Acid, Corylus Avellana (Hazel Nut) Oil, Titanium Dioxide, Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil, Glyceryl Stearate, Cetearyl Glucoside, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Gel, Arnica Montana Flowerhead Extract, Dimethicone, Carbomer, Sodium Citrate, Phenoxyethanol, Capryl Glycol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Hexylene Glycol, Jasminum Officinale (Jasmine) Flower Oil.REVIEWS“I've been using this product for 2 years now and can't live without it! It's wonderful... a little goes a long way, and it's not greasy or heavy! Love, Love it!”By RM“Love it. The smell is amazing!”By Jhalber“This product is perfect for me. It is difficult for me to find a night-time moisturizer/anti-aging serum that fits my unique skin. I'm turning 44 this month, but still tend towards oily skin and occasional breakouts every once in a while. I've finally found something that gets the job done without feeling greasy nor clogging my pores and causing breakouts. It has a nice smell, too! It only takes a few small dabs dotted around your face and massaged in, so the small container actually lasts a good while - a good buy.”By Mosaicgirl

8 beauty tips to banish rosacea

by Jo Boyden on Apr 01 2017
Rosacea. I’m sure you’ve heard the name but I bet you didn’t know that it’s so common (think 45 million people) that the month of April has been designated GLOBALLY as Rosacea Awareness Month! What exactly is rosacea though I hear you asking… In layman’s terms rosacea is an inflammatory skin condition which often presents with facial redness. However many tend to mistake the redness (or bumps that can come with it), for acne. Other tell-tale signs include; dilated capillaries, congestion and pustules.  Although there’s no cure for rosacea, the great news is by following these essential tips you could avoid flair ups have your skin red-free in next to no time!  Try to avoid alcohol Think beauty products containing alcohol as well as alcoholic drinks we are all a little partial too from time to time! Sadly a glass of wine for instance can worsen the redness caused by rosacea. Noooo! Watch what you eat Certain foods can cause your skin to flush (or otherwise heat up!) try to avoid or at least reduce eating foods including; oranges, strawberries, peanuts, cashews and caffeine. Hot and spicy curries are also a no no! Eat a diet rich in multi vitamins and essential fatty Acids Vitamin A & C foods such as broccoli, sweet potato, carrots and leafy greens help strengthen the skin while foods such as salmon, almonds and eggs rich in fatty acids help produce the skin's natural oil barrier, critical in keeping skin hydrated, plumper, and younger looking while protecting it from environmental irritants. Avoid strenuous exercise. Oh ok then you’ve twisted by arm! Always use sun protection. The sun unfortunately is a trigger for rosacea. Avoid extreme temperatures. So no soaking in a HOT bath (ahhhh), relaxing in a sauna or slaving over a very hot stove! Do not slather on your makeup. Yes we all want to conceal our blemishes but layering makeup may only inflame your symptoms more! You want to select multi-tasking products, colour correctors and breathable foundations and powders so skin if covered but calm without being clogged! Give mineral makeup a go. You won’t regret it. The right skincare will be your best friend. With the constant use of effective skincare rosacea can be reduced and in some cases totally controlled! Pevonia's RS2 range, created by world renowned dermatologist, biochemist and a pioneer in advanced organic skincare, Dr. Sylvie Hennessy, was designed to specifically treat rosacea. Formulated with the most purest, natural, nurturing ingredients including Green Tea, Chamomile, Liquorice, Allantoin, Vitamin E and Rose Essential Oil the range strengthens capillaries, desensitizes, decongests, soothes, and hydrates while rendering skin evenly toned and visibly calmed. But don’t let us tell you how amazing this range is! Here is what some of our customers have had to say; “My rosacea has been in remission ever since I started using the RS2 range. I wouldn't use anything else on my face!” R. Morgan "I’ve finally found a range that is good for my very sensitive, rosacea skin. It cools and calms my skin, my pores have shrunk and my skin is less blotchy after only 2 weeks of using all the products. Highly recommend the line.” Diana R “I have been using the Pevonia RS2 Line for 5 years now to care for my Rosacea skin condition. Every one compliments me on my beautiful skin now! No more capillary issues, reduced redness. Couldn't live without it!” Debbie W “I love the RS2 Cleanser. Very gentle and keeps my rosacea very controlled.” Sarah M “I love the RS2 Lotion. It is so soothing. My rosacea looks so much better since using this. Highly recommended.” Miranda G "I have been using the RS2 Lotion for one year now and can say that my rosacea is in remission, it’s better than ever before." Sarah G “The RS2 Concentrate is the only product I have found that calms my skin and has made a real difference.” Laurie B “Rosacea runs in my family and the RS2 Concentrate is the only one I have found that actually soothes and calms my skin. After using it regularly I also noticed that it improved the texture of my skin.” Rebecca B “I can honestly say that the RS2 Care Cream is the only rosacea product I love and trust. It comforts and soothes my skin, reducing redness.” Michelle W “After spending a lot of money on different products which didn't work, I found the RS2 Care Cream to be the best that I have tried for my sensitive, rosacea skin. It's gentle, and soothing while still moisturising my mature skin.” Johanna R Say goodbye to rosacea today!

Cream vs Serum

by Jo Boyden on Sep 06 2016
Which skincare do you prefer to use, cream or serum, and why? Some will be quick to say it's CREAM because it's what they've been using for the longest time and it works. They're right. Some will instantaneously say SERUM because it's the trend these days and it's really, really effective. They're right too! What's the difference between a cream and a serum? Which one is more effective? Do you need both in your skincare regime? A serum is a high concentration of active ingredients. It contains the most potent dose of antioxidants and peptides. A serum is formulated liquid-like to be easily absorbed into the skin and because it's lightweight, it suits all skin types. Cream is still the most popular skin care product. Because creams contain oil, it's nourishing and moisturising. It may contain specific actives that that address specific skin concerns. Which is more effective? Cream and serum do different things. A cream is better at moisturising while a serum is better at immediately delivering specific treatment actives. Do you need both in your skincare regime? Definitely! Apply serum first to let the antioxidants and peptides work its way deep into your skin for immediate skin therapy. Apply cream after a few minutes to infuse your skin with more moisture. Some use either of the two but we strongly suggest you use both for maximum results! View Pevonia's Creams and Serums Check out our SPECIAL OFFER for the month of September 2016.
